No regrets popsicle recipe - secret: use real fruit juice!
Homemade popsicles are a far better alternative to the boxed supermarket ones which are often full of high fructose corn syrup and food colourings. They are easy to make and fun too! All you need is a freezer (obviously), some popsicle molds and something yummy to put in and you are good to go. Here’s how to make some healthy kiwi fruit popsicles. How to make kiwi fruit ice pops: These pretty kiwi fruit ice blocks are great as a healthy snack or to cool off on at hot summer’s day. They only take 10 minutes to make and require very few ingredients.Ingredients: Makes approx 6
8-10 kiwi fruits
1.5 – 2 cups pineapple juice or apple juice (or just plain water)
2 teaspoons honey
Method:
Peel kiwi fruits and cut a few slices, enough for 1 slice per ice block
Place each slice in a popsicle mold, and place above ingredients in a blender. Only blend for a few seconds, so the little black seeds still remain visible.
Fill contents in your ice block molds and place in the freezer. Now it’s just a matter of time before you can enjoy your kiwi fruit pop creations!
